Forest School

St Andrew's is lucky to have the most wonderful forest school, which stretches alongside the school towards the open farmland to the south. The railway to The Cotswolds and beyond once ran where the school now stands and within our forest school, you can see the evidence of this in the stones and concrete blocks that you will find as you explore. After 50 years, the forest has well and truly taken over and we now have a huge space where our children can explore and get back to nature.

Children in our nursery, reception and year 1 enjoy a session in our forest school every week. Throughout the rest of the school, children have scheduled lessons in the forest school every half-term with our forest school leader. However, they also take opportunities to go into the forest as part of our science curriculum.

We also run after school clubs throughout the year, making the most of this incredible space.
